How do I generate a 2FA code?

Paste the Base32 secret shown when you set up 2FA — or the otpauth:// link. The 6-digit code appears here and refreshes every 30 seconds.

Can I use several accounts at once?

Yes. Put one secret per line and every account gets its own code, countdown and copy button. Name a line as "Facebook: JBSWY3DPEHPK3PXP" to tell rows apart.

Where is the 2FA secret?

On the service's 2FA setup screen, choose “can't scan” or “enter key manually”. That string is the secret.

Is this the same as Google Authenticator?

Yes. It uses the same TOTP standard (RFC 6238), so the code matches Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator and Authy for the same secret.

Why was my code rejected?

Usually the device clock is off, or the secret was copied with a typo. Sync the system time, paste the key again, and enter the code before it refreshes.

Does the secret leave this browser?

No. The code is calculated locally with Web Crypto. We don't send the secret to a server, and we don't store it.

Do I need a phone?

No. This page replaces the authenticator app for this session. Keep a backup of the secret — clearing the tab clears the code.
