What is a Cookie parser?

A Cookie parser splits the Cookie strings used in browsers and HTTP requests into readable names and values. Cookies are usually stored or sent as name=value; name2=value2.

The EnvTrace Cookie parser turns that string into a key-value table or JSON, and can convert JSON back into a Cookie string. Parsing and conversion happen in your current browser.

How do I convert a Cookie string to JSON?

Follow these three steps:

The same data can be shown in three shapes, depending on how you need to read or use it:

What is a Cookie decoder?

Cookie values are sometimes URL-encoded, for example %20 for a space, %3A for a colon, or %7B for {. A Cookie decoder turns that encoding back into readable text.

In the key-value table, use URL decode on a row to restore encoded values. If the decoded text is JSON, you can format it for easier reading.

Are my Cookies uploaded to a server?

No. The EnvTrace Cookie parser processes Cookie strings, JSON and key-value data in your browser. Nothing needs to be sent to EnvTrace servers to parse or convert your input.
